Rentalo.com, the well known directory of vacation rentals just conducted a study on travelers searching for vacation rentals in Las Vegas from July 2008 to January 2010 . Performed on a database of 5,585 travelers; the study validates recent predictions by travel experts on consumers’ interests in comparison shopping. Twenty-three percent were early planners who started their vacation planning 1 to 2 months in advance, 32 percent were from last minute travelers inquiring within the last 30 days prior to arriving to their Las Vegas lodging, and another 44 percent were travelers planning at least 2 months prior to arriving to Las Vegas.

Family meetings is the number one vacation theme in Las Vegas, because 47 percent of the vacationers were looking for lodging for groups of more than four people or families with children. The romantics were represented by the 23 percent of couples who inquired about amorous getaways. The last group were those who travel alone and represented the 14 percent
